Jaipur is the most populated city in Rajasthan, India, and is known as the “Pink City”. It’s famous for its rich cultural heritage, palaces, and street grid layout. The city is surrounded by hills, except to the south, and was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. Jaipur has a mixed Hindu-Muslim population, and has been the site of bombing attacks in the early 21st century.
